ALL IRELAND WINNER: Massive congratulations to Daire Long of Bunavie, who was part of the Limerick Minor Hurling team that etched their names into the history books with a thrilling one-point victory over Tipperary in the All-Ireland Minor Hurling Final at the Gaelic Grounds last Saturday 2-12 to 1-14. The old saying, "third time lucky," certainly proved true for this talented Limerick side. Having suffered narrow defeats to Tipperary in their previous two meetings, they turned the tables when it mattered most, producing a determined and courageous performance to claim the All-Ireland title. The victory also brought an end to a 42-year wait for Limerick to lift the All-Ireland Minor Hurling Championship trophy (other titles culminating in 1940, 1958 and 1984), making the achievement even more memorable. For Daire, the occasion was particularly special, as he became the first player from Pallasgreen to win an All-Ireland Minor Hurling Championship medal, a remarkable milestone for both himself and his club. Congratulations to Daire, his teammates, the management team, and everyone involved in this fantastic achievement. It is a proud day for Daire, his family, Bunavie, Pallasgreen, and all of Limerick GAA. We wish Daire and his teammates every success as they continue their hurling careers.
